Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at the Kathmandu Montessori Training Center in Bagbazzar (Tiger Market), Kathmandu. Over the past five years, this centre has trained thousands of teachers, and I am extremely proud to contribute to its mission.
Due to travel restrictions during COVID, I was unable to visit earlier, but I was thrilled to fly from India to deliver training to these amazing women educators. It was inspiring to support teachers in enhancing their skills, empowering them to positively impact their students’ futures.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who supports initiatives like this—it’s a beautiful reminder of how people from different corners of the world can step in and make a difference.
It was a privilege to be invited as a guest lecturer at a government school in India, where I guided students in preparing for their upcoming board exams and explored future career prospects with them.
This experience reinforced my commitment to bridging the gap between local and international education, helping students in rural areas access guidance and opportunities they truly deserve.
As a volunteer with Teach For India, I worked directly with students in under-resourced schools, focusing on bridging educational gaps and providing quality learning opportunities. I designed and implemented innovative lesson plans, mentored students, and shared global learning perspectives to inspire critical thinking, curiosity, and ambition. My work aimed to empower children from marginalized communities with the skills and confidence to pursue higher education and broaden their career horizons.
